We are proud to announce that our own Bruce Sutherland has been selected to speak at the DEFCON 19 computer security conference taking place on August 4-7 in Las Vegas this year. His paper entitled “How To Get Your Message Out When Your Government Turns Off The Internet” was submitted in response to DEFCON’s annual call for papers.
DEFCON, now in its 19th year is an annual gathering of roughly 8,000 hackers and computer security professionals where talks are given on a wide range of subjects. The conference is also frequently attended by representatives of the CIA, FBI, NSA, the Department of Homeland Security and various other alphabet soup government agencies.
EDIT: Full talk including slides are available here.
